Medieval and Renaissance inspiration by Dante's Divine Comedy in songs, the spoken word and video art.
Duo Kchun: Martin Prokeš – tenor, Marek Šulc – baritone
Vladimír Javorský – recitation (audio recording)
Atila Vörös, Rudolf Živec – light painting, video art
Gregorian chant, Renaissance polyphonies, madrigals
The philosophy of the KCHUN singing duo is based on the second hexagram of the oldest Chinese book I Ching (Book of Changes). The word "Kchun" means "Earth" and symbolizes acceptance. With this credo, the interpreters work in mutual harmony of two voices, with the minds of two long-standing colleagues and friends merging into a common speech.
